Short-Term Stays and Accommodation Support

Finding and maintaining a safe, secure home is a fundamental need. We support participants in understanding tenancy agreements, applying for housing, managing rental responsibilities, and liaising with landlords or housing providers. Our goal is to help participants achieve stable and sustainable living arrangements.

Accommodation & Tenancy Support – Mission Possible Care

  • Implementing strategies to retain current tenancies
  • Finding and applying for alternative housing options, including private rentals and DHHS properties
  • Assisting with DHHS bond loans and budgeting support
  • Coordinating Utility Relief Grant applications and liaising with utility providers
  • Promoting independent, sustainable housing practices

Accommodation & Tenancy – FAQs

Does the program fund accommodation?
Funding for accommodation usually comes through disability accommodation specialists. Most participants do not receive funding for rent or everyday expenses like phone or internet.
The NDIS may fund home modifications for your property or rental, including social housing, on a case-by-case basis. This can include assistive technologies such as accessible showers, ramps, and dressing aids.
